Connecting Nordic and Thermal Spas to Hotel Systems
June 5, 2026 · 5 min read
A thermal property sells access windows alongside treatments, often to a mix of hotel guests, members and day visitors. Connecting that to a property management system takes more than a guest lookup.
Sessions are inventory too
Circuit entry slots have hard safety and comfort caps. They must be modelled as bookable inventory with their own capacity, not as a note attached to a treatment. Once they are, the front desk can sell entry with a room and the spa still protects its throughput limits.
Mixing hotel guests with day visitors
Hotel guests should charge to the room; day guests pay at point of sale; members draw on entitlements. One booking flow has to resolve all three payment paths without asking the reception team to remember rules.
Why it pays back
Thermal properties that connect entry inventory to the hotel booking path routinely raise attach rates on room reservations, because access becomes an option at the moment of booking rather than a discovery at check-in.
